Apple may encounter some legal difficulties when launching the Vision Pro augmented reality glasses, which it has recently introduced, in China. Because Huawei had registered the same trademark for use in its own products four years ago.

Huawei will be able to use the “Vision Pro” trademark until November 27, 2031. The Chinese technology giant has the right to launch products such as televisions, virtual reality (VR) devices and radio equipment under the aforementioned name.

How can Apple get out of it?

It looks like Apple won’t be able to use the same name in China. There are two different paths the Cupertino company can take. One of them is to launch the Vision Pro under a different name in the country. This stands out as the simplest and most logical solution that comes to mind first.

Another scenario is that Apple is negotiating with Huawei in order to use the Vision Pro brand in China. While this may seem like a more complex and time-consuming process, it may allow the company to sell the product under its original name.
