Apple has recently released a new update to Apple Maps for its users in Germany. With this new update, users will now be able to share their experiences in the places they go and the places they visit with other users on maps. In addition, the technology giant also made a more detailed street view update in the application.
Apple’s rating system is now integrated into Apple Maps to display details of places like restaurants, museums, shopping malls. With this update, users will be able to give positive or negative points about the places they see, and they will be able to upload their own photos to Apple Maps, just like Google Maps.
First available in the US expected soon to arrive in Europe
The rating system in Apple Maps was first introduced in the US last year and then in Canada. was also made available. Now, the update offered in Germany is expected to arrive in European countries in a short time. There was already a rating system on the application, but with the new update, users will be able to comment and add photos about the places they go. It also integrates with trip planning and rating apps such as Apple Maps, Tripadvisor, Yelp, and Foursquare.
Users who choose to contribute to this update, which is still in trial version, must accept Apple’s terms of use for Ratings and Photos. Among the rather extensive conditions is even a list of words that Apple does not want to see. Also, Apple wants photos to be of good quality, large size, and only in JPEG, PNG, or HEIC formats.
The feature, which was put into use in Germany after the USA and Canada, is expected to be used in all of Europe and our country in the near future.
