Apple M2 Pro could be manufactured on TSMC’s 3nm process

Having achieved incredible success in power efficiency with its

M series processors, Apple also introduced its new generation processor M2 at the WWDC 2022 conference. Although the M2 processor brings many innovations in performance and energy efficiency, it is still produced in the 5nm process. However, it seems that the M2 Pro processor will be produced on TSMC’s 3nm process.

According to information from 9to5Mac, Apple has also agreed with TSMC for the production of the M2 Pro processor. However, the M2 Pro will be produced in TSMC’s 3nm fabrication process instead of being produced in the 5nm process like previous processors. M2 Pro will offer a much more efficient use with the transition to the 3nm process. The M2 Pro will likely be used on the next-generation Mac mini, which will likely be introduced this year for the first time.
