Apple has become the most important name in the smartphone world with its iPhone series. The company has achieved this success with its powerful devices and unique design. The Lightning input, which is identified with the iPhone, has been the subject of discussion recently. The company will include a USB-C input instead of Lightning in its new series.
iPhone 15 Pro models will offer high-speed data transfer with USB-C
With the decision taken in June, the European Union decided to have a uniform entry in technology products. This forced many tech companies to switch to the standard USB-C port. Accepting this situation, albeit difficult, Apple said that it will switch to USB-C input for Europe in the coming years.
Working with the motto of being the best in the industry in all areas and mostly successful in this, Apple also wants to be the top level in standard input. According to Ming-Chi Kuo, who is famous for Apple leak news, the company will include this entry in the iPhone 15 models it will send to Europe.
Apple has increasingly widened the gap between the standard and Pro models, especially since the iPhone 11 series. It seems that this will be the case with the standard USB-C port as well. According to the information received, the iPhone 15 Pro models will support USB-C 3.2 data transfer speeds that can reach 20Gbps or Thunderbolt 3 speeds that can go up to 40Gbps. The standard models, on the other hand, will remain stable at USB 2.0 speeds of 480 Mbps, the same as Lightning.
Technological waste is one of the most important factors in the European Union’s decision to impose sanctions. Today, technological tools are subject to change quite frequently. As such, unusable chargers and headphones are, in a way, garbage. If the issue passes the vote, the EU will share its legislative decision with technology companies as soon as possible.
