Apple may be switching to a subscription option after hardware and software prices soar in many parts of the world. The new information revealed showed that the iPhone, iPad and MacBook rental service will start in 2022.
iPhone, iPad and MacBook rental to be tested in 2022
Some time ago, it was claimed that Apple could offer hardware and software products with a monthly subscription, but no official step has come from Apple yet. It did not disclose this service at the Far Out event held last week.
Bloomberg editor Mark Gurman claimed that the subscription service for hardware and software will begin in 2022. The service, which is thought to be tested only in the USA and Europe for now, will allow you to rent Apple products by subscription.
Apple announced a number of new products at its Far Out event on September 7. According to Gurman, the reason the subscription service was announced was to reduce its complexity at launch. But Gurman thinks the subscription iPhone rental service will launch in 2022.
Apple currently offers a subscription tier for its software called Apple One. A number of apps are available by subscription, including Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, and iCloud+. It is expected that hardware such as iPhone and iPad will be added to the subscription.
We expect another event to be held in October for products such as iPad and MacBook. The new subscription tier may be revealed at this event. In addition, the technical support plan called AppleCare+ is expected to be expanded at the event.
