Although Apple Vision Pro attracted attention when it was first released, it did not receive the expected attention due to its price and not being easy to use. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the Cupertino company is now seriously considering developing a new title.
The new, cheaper Apple Vision model plans to redirect these tasks to iPhones to make use of a variety of features and relieve the processor in the headset from the computational burden. In other words, the new headset will technically consist of a battery, a screen and connection devices.
It has been brought up before
Gurman had brought up this idea before, but at the time it was one of many alternatives Apple was considering. It is possible to say that this alternative has become more prominent as time has passed. The new Vision will be able to project contents on the iPhone to the screens on the glasses, like Xreal glasses.
Ming Chi-Kuo, another technology journalist known for his accurate predictions, postponed Apple’s more affordable Vision title until after 2027. In this case, “Vision, an iPhone accessory”, is expected to fill the gap created by that product.
The new set will probably be much more accessible than the Apple Vision Pro, and considering the advanced processors of the iPhone models, the arrival of the new headset may not be too distant.
