The iPhone 15 series, which Apple introduced to users on September 12, is currently in the pre-order process in our country. The company, which draws attention with the titanium frames and new camera technologies used especially in the Pro models, has also started working on the iPhone 16 family, which it is preparing to introduce next year. Latest reports indicate that the brand wants to use the new camera features in more models.

Camera features specific to iPhone 15 Pro Max will also be available in 16 Pro

Although the iPhone 15 Pro Max stands out as Apple’s only device with a new periscope camera with 5x optical zoom, this will change with the iPhone 16 series to be introduced next year. According to the latest report by Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the company will use the telephoto sensor with the new tetraprism design on the phone in all Pro models next year, unlike this year.

With this development, the biggest difference between the iPhone 15 Pro models will be closed with the new series. As it is known, the telephoto sensor with tetraprism design, which came into our lives with the 15 Pro Max, allows longer focal lengths. It is stated that this lens, which effectively increases the distance between the lens and the sensor and works by reflecting light inside the lens, is quite difficult to produce. For this reason, it is said that it is not possible for standard and Plus models to benefit from this technology at the moment.

This new lens from Apple is currently produced only by the Taiwanese company Largan, and it is stated that the work of a single manufacturer in this field causes various production difficulties. At this point, the brand is expected to include this new technology in more iPhone models, although not in its 16 families, by increasing the number of suppliers in the future.
