Apple introduced new operating system versions and devices at its WWDC event last week. However, although a very short time has passed, leaks of the models that will be introduced next year have started to come. The 12-inch MacBook model, which will use the M2 Pro and M2 Max processors, has attracted attention.
12-inch MacBook is back with M2 Pro and M2 Max!
The last time we saw a 12-inch MacBook model was in 2015. Despite the fact that this device has many fans, Apple preferred to turn to the 13-inch Air model. But now that it carries the frameless notched screen design to its computers, it can fit large screens in much smaller cases.

For this reason, it is said that work on this model, which has been removed from the shelf, has started again. In fact, according to the sharing of Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, where many leaks, including the event held last week, were true, the 12-inch MacBook model will come with M2 Pro and M2 Max processors.
Therefore, it has been confirmed that the M2 series will continue. Even some features of this chip were shared. Allegedly, the M2 Max will come with a 12-core CPU and a 38-core GPU. So 2 CPUs, 6 GPUs more compared to M1 Max.
Moreover, the new M2 processor offers 18 percent higher performance in CPU, 25 percent in GPU (GPU goes up to 35 percent) and 40 percent higher in Neural Engine compared to M1. In other words, with the added cores, at least 30 percent CPU and 50 percent GPU performance increase is expected.

In addition, according to Mark Gurman’s claim, Apple likes to release its devices in pairs. In other words, it will bring a new 15-inch device next to the 12-inch model. Moreover, while the smaller model is expected to arrive at the end of 2023 or the beginning of 2024, the larger model may arrive at the end of this year.
