Refurbished phones often suffer from falls, breaks, scratches, etc. They are defined as products that are tried to be repaired and made close to zero for reasons. These types of phones are especially bought by consumers whose budget is not enough. In fact, it is possible to turn to the second hand as an alternative. However, while refurbished phone models are covered by the warranty, such an opportunity is unfortunately not available for second-hands.
Apple sells refurbished iPhones through its online store in the US. The phones, which have a cheaper price tag compared to zero, do not worry about reliability, since they are Apple certified. The company has now made another move. It expanded its refurbished iPhone sales outside of the US to one more country.
Refurbished iPhone sales begin in Canada
Apple was already selling refurbished versions of its Mac, iPad, Apple TV, and other accessories in Canada. Expanding its product range, the company added refurbished iPhone models to its online store. Currently, dozens of phones are listed in the Apple Store, from the iPhone 11 series to the iPhone Xs Max. The prices of these phones are discounted from $110 to $500.
So what awaits the consumers who buy these phones? As per Apple’s sales policy, users who purchase refurbished iPhones are given a one-year limited warranty, a 15-day return, and a new battery. In the statement made by the company, the process of refurbished iPhone models was explained as follows:
Apple Certified Refurbished Products are second-hand Apple products that go through Apple’s stringent refurbishment process before being released for sale. Each unit is evaluated to ensure it meets Apple’s quality standards.
Turkey is unlikely
Apple does not yet sell refurbished iPhones or any other product in our country. However, there is no obstacle for him to do this. As a reminder, refurbished phones are legal in Turkey. There are even renewal centers authorized by the Ministry of Commerce. In these centers, if the device has a hardware problem, it is corrected in the best possible way, its software is reset, and then it is packaged to be presented to the buyer.
You can buy the products offered for sale through official sales channels after the renewal and certification process by the companies that have received the “TSE Service Place Competence Certificate” by the Turkish Standards Institute and determined as the “Renewal Center” by the Ministry of Commerce of the Republic of Turkey.
