The Studio Display, announced by Apple the other day, seems to have ended the agreement between LG and Apple. Apple has quietly removed the 27-inch LG UltraFine 5K display from its online store.

The 27-inch LG UltraFine 5K, which Mac users prefer to use as an external monitor, was pushed into the background after the launch of Studio Display. The US technology giant promised a user-friendly integration for macOS, saying that it was working with LG on the screen.

The Studio Display screen, announced at the Peek performance event last week, also directly affected Apple’s sales. Apple has removed the UltraFine 5K display from stock in its online store and has started listing only the 23.7-inch UltraFine 4K display.

Let’s say that the 27-inch UltraFine 5K screen is not on sale on other platforms. For example, it is not entirely clear whether the out-of-stock screen will be restocked and offered for sale on LG’s own website. However, it was observed that some US sellers on eBay still offer the 27-inch UltraFine 5K display (presumably it was previous stock).

The 27-inch UltraFine 5K features are also undeniably successful. Featuring a 5K display, P3 wide color with 500 nits brightness, and a Thunderbolt 3 port that can charge a Mac, the device uses the same panel family as the Studio Display.

Studio Display has 600 nits maximum brightness, shows 1 billion colors and supports P3 color gamut. Studio Display, which does not adopt Mini-LED technology and offers 5K resolution, will be able to change the color temperature according to the environment with True Tone technology. It will also be launched with a nano-texture glass option for work areas illuminated by bright light sources. It will be launched with the A13 Bionic processor.

The UltraFine 5K display, which was removed from Apple’s online store, could find buyers for $ 1,299, which is quite affordable considering that Studio Display starts with a price tag of $ 1,599.
