While AI-based tools like ChatGPT have made a lot of noise, the real question is whether they’re safe for widespread use. Apple’s latest move raises similar concerns. The company did not allow the e-mail application to be updated with ChatGPT technology in the App Store.

The artificial intelligence update that will come to BlueMail helps the user to create new e-mails by taking the texts from their old e-mails. The technology is powered by OpenAI’s latest ChatGPT chatbot.

Terms from Apple to the developer!

According to the message to the app developer, Apple did not approve the update due to concerns that AI-powered language tools could generate emails with text that might be inappropriate for children. Apple will approve the update if the developer adds the content filtering feature to the application and increases the age limit to 17 (currently 4+).

Ben Volach, co-founder of BlueMail, disagrees with Apple’s decision. Volach said that many other apps where ChatGPT-like features are advertised as listed on Apple’s app store have no age restrictions.
