The radical design change for the MacBook Pro, which has been talked about for a long time, has been postponed once again due to some technical glitches. According to recent reports, the big transformation of the new generation MacBook Pros will not happen until 2026.
Targets for the new MacBook Pro are set for 2026
Apple is preparing to make a radical design change for the MacBook Pro series. Accordingly, it was stated that this change, which was previously stated to be made next year, was postponed to 2026. According to Bloomberg editor Mark Gurman, the company postponed the date by a year due to problems with screen technology.
MacBook Pro models expected to be released in 2025 will switch to Apple’s new generation M5 chip. According to Gurman, no significant design changes or new features are expected other than the processor. In other words, the models to be released next year will retain the current designs and will only have processor upgraded versions.
Gurman stated that the real big innovation will come in 2026. This year’s models will switch to OLED screens used in the new iPad Pros. A thinner and redesigned chassis is also expected for the MacBook Pro series.
A significant increase is also predicted on the performance side. The 2026 MacBook Pro will likely be powered by Apple’s M6 chip with next-generation 2nm processor technology. This means a big jump in performance.
