The latest iPhone family is only a few months away, and leaks keep coming about the Apple launch. Shortly before the event, the iPhone 14 Always on Display feature may have been shared by Apple.

How will the iPhone 14 Always on Display feature look?

Xcode, the company’s software development environment for macOS, had some new information about the iPhone 14 in its latest beta. An iOS software developer claimed on Twitter that Xcode 14 beta has iPhone 14 Always on Display images.

The screenshot shared by the developer featured a white lock screen widget. The iOS developer believes that Apple has developed a screen widget similar to the Samsung Galaxy models. Since Samsung phones have had this feature since 2019, it’s no surprise that they look alike.

MacRumors editor Steve Moser has confirmed these screenshots are available in Xcode 14 beta. That said, widget images in Xcode 14 don’t have any function, making it more likely to be Always on Display.

Today, no iPhone model has Always on Display support. However, it was claimed that Apple will bring it to the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max with the new iPhone 14 series. The display of these models will have refresh rates ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz to support Always on Display.

We do not know whether Apple will give this widget to its older models, it is only worth mentioning that the iPhone 13 Pro supports it. However, since the iPhone 13 Pro’s screen drops to at least 10Hz, it will shorten the battery life.
