Apple, one of the biggest players in the smartphone world with its iPhone series, is approaching the final stages for its next flagship phone, the iPhone 14 model. The model, which should be introduced in September, continues to stay on the agenda with leaked information. The latest information has been about the camera lenses of the model.

iPhone 14’s wide camera 7P lenses supplied by Sunny Optical

The iPhone 14 series has been on the agenda for a long time with problems. As it is known, a significant part of the company’s production line is located in China. From time to time, China went into shutdown with its “zero tolerance for coronavirus” policy, especially in the winter months. This situation put many important companies, especially Apple, into difficulty.

The closure process caused disruptions in Apple’s work schedule. So much so that even the postponement of the iPhone 14 series was on the agenda for a while. However, the company denied this. On the other hand, it was stated that the closure process experienced in the past days will create a lens supply chain. The company is keeping the end of the rope tight in this regard.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, known for leak information, stated that Apple is increasingly concentrating its wide camera 7P lens orders on a single supplier. Accordingly, the company will supply these lenses by Sunny Optical. On the other hand, Sunny Optical is expected to be the main supplier of ToF lenses to be produced for the iPhone 15 in 2023.

The RAM details of the iPhone 14 series have also been revealed. The iPhone 13 used the LPDDR4X standard with 4GB of RAM. According to the information received, the company will use this standard again with 6 GB of RAM on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus in the new family of the series. However, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will be upgraded to LPDDR5.
