Apple will introduce the highly anticipated iPhone 15 series next month. The company is reportedly revising its production plan ahead of the launch. According to Haitong International Securities analyst Jeff Pu, the company has already cut back on new phone production.

Apple originally planned to launch 83 million iPhone 15s by the end of the year, but the company has reportedly reduced that figure to 77 million. According to Pu, the Cupertino tech giant recently informed its investors about this change.

There are two reasons for the production cut

The experienced analyst attributes the decrease in production to two reasons. The first of these is the problem of component supply for new iPhones. Apple is having trouble getting camera sensors especially from Sony. There are also problems with the supply of a new titanium frame and a new thinner bezel display for Pro models.

The second reason is the decreasing demand for high-priced smartphones. Pu said without going into too much detail that Apple changed its plans due to some “demand concerns”. According to the information received, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will be more expensive than their predecessors, which may lead to a decrease in demand.
