Apple has announced the expansion of its “fix it yourself” program in the US. Starting August 23, 2022, customers will be able to order parts for MacBook Air and MacBook Pro laptops with the M1 processor family.

Laptop owners will not only have access to original spare parts (screen, battery powered top case, trackpad and more) that can be ordered from Apple’s website, but also repair tools and manuals.
The company launched its repair-it-yourself service for iPhone in April 2022. The Apple store catalog has all the necessary parts, including tool kits. Apple has announced that its fix-it-yourself program will expand to other countries later this year. The list of Apple devices for which replacement parts will be available will also be expanded over time.
