Apple has regained the leadership seat it lost to smartphone manufacturers on the Android side in recent years. The rise, which started with the sales success of the iPhone 11 model, continued with the iPhone 12 and 13 models, bringing the company to the top. Of course, in this case, the effect of the declines experienced by other brands was also great. Here are the details…
Apple broke a sales record with 5G supported iPhone models!
Unexpectedly, Apple succeeded in taking the leadership seat vacant from Huawei, which had fallen due to US embargoes, especially in the Asian market. The company, which has also changed its iPhone designs in the past 2 years, has become increasingly popular with the arrival of 5G support.
In fact, with the launch of the iPhone 13 series in 2021, Apple increased its revenues by 35 percent on an annual basis, earning $196 billion, and became the most successful company in the world in this sense. At the same time, it should be noted that it holds 44 percent of the world’s smartphone revenues.
Of course, this success didn’t just come from the collapse of Huawei and the rise of Apple in the Chinese market. The company has also greatly expanded its presence in key emerging regions such as India, Thailand, Vietnam and Brazil.
In addition, the 5G transformation process that started all over the world has also increased the interest in phones that support this connection. Of course, many manufacturers have increased their smartphone prices to turn this into an opportunity. However, Apple preferred to remove the adapter from the box, keeping the iPhone prices the same.
Therefore, it experienced a 14 percent increase in its overall ASP (average selling price per device) to $825 in 2021. Samsung, which increased its annual revenue by 11 percent to $ 72 billion, increased its ASP by 5 percent to $ 263.
Therefore, Apple, which has reached the level of 200 billion dollars alone in the smartphone market, which brought about 450 billion dollars in revenue to manufacturers in 2021, signals that it will dominate the market in the coming years.
