That’s why Apple has passed an order of 10 million devices from another supplier this fall to avoid possible delays in iPhone 14 supply, Kuo said. We are talking about the Taiwanese company Largan, which is the largest manufacturer of lenses for smartphone cameras and other electronic devices. The analyst states that Largan will deal with this issue and comply with the deadline.
No quality issues according to lens manufacturer
It is unlikely that this will affect the iPhone 14’s release date, but it is possible that the smartphone will go to a limited number of stores until the start of sales. On the other hand, after the news that the camera lenses of the iPhone 14 were cracked and that Apple had shifted some of its orders to another supplier, the share of the Yujingguang company, which produces these lenses, fell by about 8%.
Following the reports, Yujingguang representatives officially denied the existence of such quality issues, which analyst Ming-Chi Kuo mentioned. Yujingguang states that the current order from Apple is huge and the company has not lost orders.
