Technology giant Apple becomes indispensable for its users with the technology ecosystem it has created. The company, which set out to make the products it produces the best, also scrutinizes AR / VR headsets. The title’s release date was subject to many delays. It looks like this will continue.
Apple AR/VR delayed to second half of 2023
Due to the events in China, Apple is facing supply problems, especially in iPhone production. The company, which had problems with production, had once considered the idea of delaying even the iPhone 14 series. The title, which is said to be called Reality One or Reality Pro, is known to have similar problems.
Known for Apple leaks, Ming-Chi Kuo announced that Apple AR / VR headsets have been postponed to the second half of next year. The source cites software issues as one of the title’s biggest delays. Kuo said the company will produce between 800,000 and 1.2 million headphones.
According to previously obtained information, Apple AR / VR will be at the level of at least 2 thousand dollars. The device will be powered by the 96W adapter used in the MacBook Pro. The device will have two different processors, one 5nm and the other 4nm, each manufactured by TSMC. On the other hand, Apple aims to solve the sound issue with Airpods during the use of the headset.
On the other hand, the Apple executive did not make public statements about AR initiatives. Only Apple CEO Tim Cook has an implicit speech on this subject. At the time, Cook stated that the company wanted to do more than just AR software. “We couldn’t be more excited about the opportunities we see in this space,” he said.
