The iPhone 14 series, which is expected to be announced next fall, will appear as a total of four models. Apple, which has experienced some supply problems and increased prices due to Covid-19 restrictions in the past years, does not want to have problems with the iPhone 14 family. Here’s Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo’s comment on procurement.
iPhone 14 will experience supply issues, but ‘don’t worry’
iPhone series usually take their place on the shelves within two months at the latest after the launch in October. While there have been disruptions due to supply problems in China before, Apple is known to work with multiple partners. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said “of course” there will be some problems.
We think that the latest lineup of the smartphone will consist of four models (iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro Max). According to what Kuo learned, there are two major problems at Apple’s factories.
The first is that the biggest disruptions in the supply chain will affect the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max models. It should not be forgotten that there will be a major design change with the iPhone 14 Pros (the selfie camera embedded in the screen instead of the notch) and that Apple attaches more importance to these models.
According to Kuo’s statement, another problem is experienced in the hardware parts of the iPhone 14 models. It was claimed that the expected stock numbers could not be reached, especially in the storage and display panels of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max.
Despite these two problems, major problems are not expected in the iPhone 14 series. Saying that both problems will be fixed by the October-November period, Kuo said that suppliers can “largely close” their stock problems.
