Apple admitted that a feature that came with iOS 16 affected the battery of iPhones

Apple released iOS 16 for eligible models last September. The highlight of iOS 16 was the new lock screen customization update. In addition, the company, which offers many new features, also introduced a new feature called keyboard haptics.

The new feature called keyboard haptics, which comes with iOS 16, is used to send small vibrations as instant feedback when you type something using the native keyboard. Apple has officially acknowledged that enabling keyboard haptics for iPhone users updating to iOS 16 may have an impact on battery life. This feature was offered to users with iOS 16 as two options, sound or vibration feedback. You can enable or disable this customizable feature if you wish.

Apple did not include any additional details about the amount of battery life this feature consumes in its support document. So, if keyboard taps are consuming too much battery on your iPhone, you can disable the feature in Settings app.
