
The new feature called keyboard haptics, which comes with iOS 16, is used to send small vibrations as instant feedback when you type something using the native keyboard. However, this feature, which has been available on several Android smartphones for years, causes some battery problems for iPhone users.

Apple did not include any additional details about the amount of battery life this feature consumes in its support document. So, if keyboard taps are consuming too much battery on your iPhone, you can disable the feature in Settings app.
