There are currently two places showing ads in the App Store; In the search tab and in the search results. As of today, ads will start appearing on the homepage and application pages.

With the new App Store ad layout, iOS app developers can now place ads outside of the search tab and search results. Ads that will show in part of the Today tab will use the same blue banner/background as search ads. Since there will be ads that users will encounter when they first open the App Store, we can say that it will be a good income advertising scheme for both Apple and application developers.
Other ads come directly to product pages. This means developers can now place ads on product pages for other apps. Ads will appear at the bottom of the product page, under the header section showing other apps from the developers. However, the developers will not be able to place the advertisement of the application they want on the product page. Ads will be relevant for each of the product pages. This means that developers will see their competitors’ ads directly on their app pages.
Regarding the new ad layout, Apple said, “Apple search ads provide opportunities for all developers to grow their businesses. Like our other ad offerings, these new ad placements are built on the same foundation; It will only contain content from approved App Store product pages for apps and will adhere to the same strict privacy standards.” says.
