How respectful is Apple to user privacy?
Research has revealed that the Directory Services Identifier component, developed to collect anonymous data on the App Store, can access iCloud account. Thus, the user’s identity information can also be obtained. However, it is mentioned in the relevant documents that this component remains anonymous.
It is stated that this component, which is collected for App Store analysis, also sends data to other applications. In other words, the user’s identity is used extensively within the Apple ecosystem. Moreover, even if the user disables it in his account, the system continues to operate.
Apple processes user data in its own solutions and does not give it to third parties. However, there is no guarantee that it will not. In fact, Apple’s incidents are not the first. It has had policies that received intense criticism in the past, such as restricting the frequency of notifications by applications, while its own applications violated it.
