Volkswagen has designed a special version called the Black Edition for the popular Golf hatchback. As the name suggests, the Golf Black Edition includes a much darker coating on both its interior and exterior design for a tougher look.
Volkswagen Golf Black Edition features
The Golf Black Edition, which is planned to be sold only in the UK at the first stage, promises an average performance. According to the company’s statement, it will sit above the Golf and Golf R-Line models, but below the Golf GTI and Golf R models.
While the vehicle design is kept the same as the 2023 models, there are a few minor changes. 18-inch black alloy wheels, tinted rear windows, LED illuminated headlights with daytime running lights and black exterior mirrors and door handle draw attention.
The cabin has sports seats with leather upholstery and red stitching. The interior lighting of the vehicle comes with 30 customizable color options. Other features include a reversing camera, winter package and tinted rear windows.
Volkswagen will sell the Golf Black Edition with different engine options. These will be a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 148 horsepower or a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 190 horsepower.
The price of the Volkswagen Golf Black Edition starts at £32k in the UK. While more expensive than the standard Golf, it offers more savings over the standard model’s upgrades. It is unclear whether this model will come to our country.
