The first beta version of iOS 16 was recently made available to developers. Since then, several interesting features have been discovered in the operating system that Apple did not mention at launch. Finally, developer Steve Moser has identified an important innovation for AirPods owners.
According to the lines of code in iOS 16 beta 1, iPhones will now be able to distinguish between fake and original AirPods. When trying to connect with non-genuine wireless headset, a warning will appear on the smartphone screen:
“Could not verify that these earphones are genuine Apple AirPods. Would you like to connect anyway?”
Validation exists in some other parts as well
In addition to all these, let us remind you that there are similar notifications for some other components such as camera parts and battery in the iOS operating system.
Apple has also tried in the past to circumvent non-genuine cables . The company even placed a separate chip in Lightning for this. However , the Chinese soon overcame this . It’s possible that the same thing could happen for AirPods.
