Some phones from the OnePlus Nord series faced overheating. This caused the devices to explode. Several such incidents have been reported regarding the OnePlus Nord 2 in the past few months. Now, another device from OnePlus has had a blast in India. This time, the smartphone was OnePlus Nord CE, not OnePlus Nord 2.
A Twitter user named Dushyant Goswami shared images of the alleged explosion of the OnePlus Nord CE phone while pulling it out of his pocket. He added that the device was purchased about six months ago. The person posted this on his LinkedIn account as well as Twitter. However, the posts related to the event were removed by the person. At this point, it turned out that the OnePlus team promised to send him a new device.
Still no official statement by OnePlus
In the original tweet about the incident, the person made some statements. Meanwhile, he asked some questions to the company. Additionally, he shared images along with text showing the completely damaged phone from the front and back. All the important parts of the device are completely gone, including the battery, screen and camera. Goswami also said:
“I have a phone from the very popular OnePlus brand that promises the best quality. My phone is only six months old and it literally exploded yesterday when I took it out of my pocket. It is not only bad, but also deadly. Will the brand be responsible for the accident?”
