With the announcement of the Galaxy S21 FE, the leaks turned to the Galaxy S22 series again. A new seemingly official spec sheet has appeared on Twitter detailing the Galaxy S22 Ultra specifically.
Galaxy S22 Ultra, ultra-wide 12MP (f/2.2) with Dual Pixel AF, 10 MP (f/2.4) telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom, Dual Pixel AF and OIS; and a secondary 10MP (f/4.9) telephoto camera with 10x zoom, Dual Pixel AF and OIS. The primary 108MP camera is covered in a substance the company calls Super Clear Glass. Technically speaking, this is actually Gorilla Glass DX and its implementation is not exclusive to the Galaxy S22 Ultra. The first Samsung phones to use Gorilla Glass DX protection were the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3.
The leaked spec sheet mentions a 6.8-inch QHD(3080 x 1440) Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, Exynos 2200 chipset, 8/12GB RAM, 128/256/512GB storage and a 5,000mAh battery.
The Galaxy S22 Ultra will weigh around 228 grams and will be available in four color options: Phantom Black, Phantom White, Green and Burgundy. And of course, there’s the S Pen too.
It is thought that Samsung will introduce the Galaxy S22 series in February, but on the other hand, rumors of delays are circulating. It is unclear whether the launch event will take place at the beginning or end of the month.
