WhatsApp has been working on many new features lately. It was recently revealed that WhatsApp will soon allow you to create local chat backups on your Android phone. Now, according to the news of WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is working on the group polls feature.
Surveys are prepared with a survey creation interface that allows you to submit a question and provide up to 12 options for answers. This feature was last seen in beta version of WhatsApp for Android 2.22.20.11.
You will find the WhatsApp poll creation feature in the menu, which also includes other media sharing options. Specifically, the poll creation option is the seventh option in the media sharing menu. WABetaInfo also says that the same shortcut will be in the upcoming update for WhatsApp Desktop beta and WhatsApp beta for iOS.
Of course, there is a possibility that the placement of the survey option will change when the feature comes to the stable version. In addition, the number of answer options can be reduced to less than 12.
Another interesting option is the possibility to prepare the survey for both groups and individual people you chat with.
As of now, there is no information on when this feature will come to the stable version. But that’s understandable as WhatsApp will want to test the feature first, tweak it, and then make it official.
