The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) announced on December 31 that it will shorten CES 2022 by one day as an additional COVID-19 safety protocol and end the event on January 7, 2022 instead of January 8.
“As the world’s most influential tech event, CES is committed to being a meeting place to showcase products and ultimately discuss ideas that will make our lives better,” Gary Shapiro, CTA President and CEO, said in his announcement announcing the decision.
“We are shortening the fair to three days and have taken comprehensive health measures for the safety of all exhibitors and promoters.”
Many big names such as CTA, AT&T, AMD, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Lenovo, Microsoft have announced that they will not physically attend the event. Despite this, it is thought that there will be a promotional audience of approximately 2,200 people at the fair.
