Continuing its preparations on 14th Generation Meteor Lake and Raptor Lake Refresh processors, Intel plans to make a significant change in its next generation processors. So much so that the CPU giant confirmed its rebranding plans with Meteor Lake processors. Now, a new processor model has emerged that confirms this change.Core Ultra 7 1002H appeared on the horizon
If we recall, we have seen that Intel is working on two processor models, Core Ultra 5 1003H and Intel Core Ultra 7 1003H. Now among these models, a new CPU called Intel Core Ultra 7 1002H has been added. According to the boot page spotted by IntalLatX64, this processor is home to 6 performance, 8 efficiency, 22 threads and 2 cores (exclusive to Meteor Lake) in the chip die.
In addition, when we go into the details, we see that the processor has a clock speed of 3GHz. So the Ultra 7 1002H could be a P variant. Additionally, this leak reaffirms that Intel is preparing for a big name change. However, it is not clear which platforms the product name change will apply to yet.According to past leaks, the Intel Core Mobile H-series brand change will be as follows:
- Core i9 1XX00H → Core (Ultra) 9 1X0XH
- Core i7 1XX00H → Core (Ultra) 7 1X0XH
- Core i5 1XX00H → Core (Ultra) 5 1X0XH
- Core i3 1XX00H → Core (Ultra) 3 1X0XH
Reportedly, the Meteor Lake CPU series will be released in the second half of 2023. Niketim is expected to share more details about 14th generation processors at the Intel Innovation event to be held next September.
