READING NOW Another new arrangement for IMEI copying: Phones that cannot receive a signal will be deactivated after 1 year!
The Bill on the Law on the Regulation of the Tobacco, Tobacco Products and Alcohol Market and on Amending Some Laws, signed by the AK Party deputies, was submitted to the Presidency of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.

Passive measure for IMEI cloning in Parliament

If this law proposal is validated, the regulation of deactivation of electronic identity information belonging to devices that have not received service from electronic communication networks for 7 years will undergo a change. In short, the 7-year rule will be reduced to 1 year.

In this context, from now on, mobile phones that cannot be received uninterruptedly for 1 year will be disabled for communication. The Information Technologies and Communications Authority (BTK) will deactivate the IMEI registration of mobile phones that meet this criterion.

If you have a phone whose electronic identity information has been deregistered, you will be able to reactivate the information of this device with a line that belongs to you.

You will not need any other action to activate the data of your device that you have started to use again with your line. For devices whose electronic identity information cannot be re-registered in this way, an application will have to be made within the scope of BTK’s regulations.
