READING NOW Another innovation has surfaced in iOS 17 Beta 2!

After being announced by Apple at WWDC 2023, iOS 17, which started to be published in Beta programs, brought many innovations. New ones are added to the innovations offered to users in each Beta version. As it is known, iOS 17 Beta 2 was also presented to developers yesterday. At first glance, nothing new seems to have come, just system stability. However, iOS 17 Beta 2 has revealed another innovation.

What innovation did iOS 17 Beta 2 offer?

It turns out that iOS 17 Beta 2 includes a new setting that will allow iPhone users to feel that the haptic feedback of the phone starts faster than in iOS 16. With the new update, the Haptic Touch response time can be shortened considerably compared to iOS 16. So, how to adjust the Haptic Touch response time?

We follow the Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Haptic Touch options in order. If you’re using iOS 16, you’ll see a box with two options: Fast and Slow. You can set how long after a long press on the screen you will see a content preview, action or contextual menu by selecting one of these two options.

In iOS 16, as we said, there are only two options, Fast and Slow. However, the latest iOS 17 Beta release adds a third setting to them. So the options are Fast, Default, and Slow. The new Default setting is equivalent to the Fast setting in iOS 16. If you choose the Naturally Fast setting, you will experience a shorter response time than the Fast setting that appeared in iOS 16.

Whether you change the duration speed in iOS 16 or iOS 17 Beta, you can test this setting by long pressing the flower icon under the “Touch Time Test” heading. Of course, it is worth remembering that some changes made during the Beta are for testing purposes before reaching the final version of the software. Therefore, there is no guarantee that this feature will be preserved in the iOS 17 major release.
