Sony continues to bring its PlayStation exclusive games to the big screen. According to a new information that has emerged, Sony Pictures has given the green light to the movie Days Gone, developed by Bend Studios and released for PS4 in 2019.
Days Gone movie plot and vision date?
According to the new report by Deadline, the survival game Days gone, first presented for PlayStation 4 and then PC, is a movie. It was stated that Sony Pictures has started to meet with several actors. Among these names is Sam Heughan, whom we know for his role as Jamie Fraser in Outlander.
Allegedly, Sony wants to see Sam Heughan in the lead role (as Deacon St. John) in the movie. Interestingly, the facial features of the actor are very similar to the Days Gone character, so we can say that he is quite suitable for the role.
The script of Days Gone will be written by Oscar nominee Sheldon Turner, whom we know from productions such as X-Men: First Class and Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Screenwriter Turner will executive produce the film with Jennifer Klein.
Set in a world overrun by zombie-like creatures, Days Gone received generally positive reviews. However, the well-known name of the game industry, Jason Schreier, claimed that Days Gone 2 was rejected by Sony. The game’s chief executives, Jeff Ross and John Garvin, left PlayStation Studios.
