Twitter, which has been developing the Clubhouse-like Twitter Spaces feature for about a year, is now preparing to equip the platform with a podcast-like feature. The famous social media platform allows broadcasters to share old broadcasts as tweets and allow users to listen to these broadcasts again.
This feature, which will allow broadcasters to increase their following, will also increase the competition between other social media applications and Twitter. Especially Spotify, one of the leading podcasts, is among these platforms. Here are the details of the new podcast format that Twitter will bring for the Spaces feature…
Twitter Spaces broadcasts become podcasts
Publishing a post through Spaces’ official page as of today, Twitter announced that they have been working on the Spaces Recordings feature for a while, and as of today, they have presented a brand new feature to users. Accordingly, the owners of the broadcasts will now be able to easily observe how many users participated in that broadcast, as well as how many people returned to the broadcast and followed the repetition after the replay was shared.
A Twitter spokesperson, who made a separate statement on the subject, announced that this long-awaited innovation will continue for a while in the closed beta process, however, the feature has become much more stable after the first introduction.
Accordingly, broadcast owners will now be able to edit the start times while sharing broadcast replays. In this way, a complete podcast atmosphere will be created by cutting the preparation phase and silent areas before the speeches begin.
The same Twitter official announced that the famous social media platform is doing their best to provide a more proactive experience and that they will continue to give new control options to broadcast owners. Stating that Twitter Spaces will be a constantly renewed feature, the official also stated that they will continue to make improvements in the light of feedback from users.
