SpaceX is trying to get permission from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) while counting the days to send its next-generation rocket into space. The company, which has been waiting for this permission for a long time, has been delayed several times due to the necessary research. SpaceX seems to wait a little longer for the journey to Mars with its new generation rocket.

SpaceX will wait for the new launch on June 13!

SpaceX’s Starship rocket could not launch for the highly anticipated first orbital flight. Meeting Tuesday, the FAA announced that the proposed mission needs more time to complete its Programmatic Environmental Assessment (PEA).

The FAA’s assessment, launched last fall, explores whether the SpaceX launch would pose any hazards to public safety or the environment. In addition to these, doubts about national security are among the points investigated by the institution.

The FAA was expected to release the result of its review on May 31. However, due to the delays, it was stated that the investigation will be ready by 13 June at the earliest. Extra time is needed to complete consultations with various government departments on the agency’s website and to review all of the more than 17,000 public comments submitted throughout the process.

As a result of these reviews, the FAA will determine whether SpaceX can launch the Starship from the Starbase facility in Texas. Otherwise, SpaceX will have to transport the rocket to the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, 1,600 kilometers away to launch it.

SpaceX and NASA are planning Moon and Mars missions with the new rocket. Before these, Starship must go on its first orbital test flight. The test flight to orbit the Earth is expected to take approximately 90 minutes.

Aims to land Starship for multiple uses of SpaceX vehicles. Thus, the company, which plans to reduce costs, also hopes to be able to launch more frequently. If the necessary permits are granted on June 13, SpaceX plans to launch its new rocket into space in July or August.
