Today, the USB-C standard, which is encountered in Android phones, modern laptops, charging adapters and many technological devices, is becoming more popular day by day. While the technology world is slowly starting to use a single port, this seems to make Apple’s work even more difficult.

India may force Apple to USB-C standard

As it is known, the European Union has recently passed a law that makes it mandatory for iPhones to use USB-C instead of the Lightning port. Now a similar move could come from India. Rohit Kumar Singh, Secretary of Food and Public Distribution at the Ministry of Consumer Affairs of India, reportedly said in a recent press release, “There has been broad consensus among stakeholders on the adoption of Type-C as a charging port for electronic devices such as smartphones.” uttered his words.

Although the new decision from India is important, it does not seem to change Apple’s plans. Because sources close to the company say that all iPhone 15 models will have the USB-C standard instead of the Lightning port. However, Apple may still make changes to the Pro and Pro Max models.
