While cryptocurrency mining is widely used by people, some popular apps also want to take advantage of it, and as a result, they add cryptocurrency mining features to their apps. Norton 360 has made such an attempt before, and users who do not want to use this section and are considering removing it, have complained that it is very difficult to remove the part about cryptocurrency mining. Now Norton’s subsidiary Avira has taken a similar initiative.
Avira has added a section on cryptocurrency mining to its antivirus app Avira Prime. Users can issue Ether cryptocurrency from this section. However, they have to pay a $33 transaction fee for this. In addition, there is a 15% deduction from the profit obtained at the end of Norton’s mining process, and it is among the talk that this may not be very profitable for the users. Because users both pay the energy cost for crypto currency mining, and the life of the device is shortened due to the excessive load on the graphics card they use.
