Nokia announced that it has achieved a record 110Gbps transmission speed in its private 5G network. This marks an important milestone that demonstrates the viability of industrial-grade wireless connectivity for mission-critical applications.
While high performance and low latency are the foundation of the industry’s future, it is also thought that this success will embrace new applications, especially in the Internet of Things and real-time analytics and Machine Learning.
“This landmark achievement is a testament to our continued investment in providing customers with the best solution capabilities to meet their evolving needs,” said Janne Parantainen, CTO of Nokia Enterprise Solutions. It shows that digitization application workloads can be consolidated into a single server with significant cost savings and simplification of operations, and that’s really promising.”
