GTA Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, which was released for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC players in December last year, had a great reaction from the players.
The package, which was expected to include reworked and redesigned versions of GTA Vice City, GTA III and San Andreas, met with bad grades both for its price and for its gameplay full of bugs. After the problems that could not be solved for about 2 months, the patience of the players ran out with the statements made by Take Two CEO Strauss Zelnick.
Zelnick: ‘minor bugs’ fixed in GTA Trilogy
GTA Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, which was released simultaneously on many different platforms in the last month of last year, was attacked by both players and professional review sites. The trilogy’s Metacritic average is just 49/100 based on reviews. GTA Trilogy was awarded a rating of only 0.6/10 by the players.
The funny graphics and animation errors in the game, the problems that were not even found in the PlayStation 2 versions released about 20 years ago, the players have given up on the game for a while. It was recently announced that there will be no major updates for the games that will be released for Android and iOS platforms in 2022. To all these problems, interesting statements by Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take Two, have now been added.
Zelnick, in an interview with CNBC recently, stated that he is very pleased with the current state of the games. The CEO of Take TWO claimed that the problems experienced in the release of the trilogy were “minor bugs” and that they fixed these problems with the updates they made. Stating that this package should not be described as new games, even though he respects the GTA trilogy, Zelnick said that GTA Trilogy – The Definitive Edition has done a good job for the company.
