Razer front evaluated the latest situation in the laptop market. Especially in the last period, the troubles that have been experienced one after the other have become number one on the company’s agenda. The company, which has made a name for itself with its player-oriented products, made a prediction against what could happen in the future.
Speaking on social media, the CEO of the company, Min-Liang Tan, did not say anything heartwarming. The predictions made by the successful manager are the kind that will annoy the players.
Razer expects increase in laptop prices
The company, which expects a clear price increase, especially on laptops, is prepared for the situation. Noting that there was a long meeting, CEO Min-Liang Tan warned the players in advance. While underlining how much the negative developments in the last period hurt the sector, it was emphasized that everyone should be prepared.
Talking about the negativity of the table, Razer manager gave the following in his statements:
We had a long meeting to review our line of gaming laptops for next year. It seems that there are significant increases in component costs. We will see price increases across the board for next-gen gaming laptops (including the Razer Blade).
It is not a surprise that the chip shortage in factories, which started with COVID-19 and subsequently, negatively affected the laptop market. These troubles, which are not expected to end in a short time, lead companies to push new moves. In the face of this situation, which will directly affect the user, prices are expected to rise, as in every sector. While the NVIDIA front could not draw a positive picture in the past days, it was revealed that game console manufacturers had cut their production lines.
As such, gamer-oriented companies such as Razer are experiencing even more troublesome processes while bringing good hardware to their users. Increasing prices due to the shortage of semiconductors in the market also paves the way for possible hikes. After these last statements, users who wanted to buy a laptop towards the end of the year were called by experts to “hurry up”. As 2021 comes to an end, it is quite possible to see significant activity in the laptop market. However, it is a question of how long this problem will last. Let’s see how long the companies will reflect this negativity to the users, we will wait and see.
