The Japanese unit of Hong Kong blockchain investment firm Animoca Brands has announced that it has raised $45 million for its Animoca Brands KK NFT investment.
Animoca Brands KK was founded in October 2021 and announced in February that it had raised $10 million in its first round of funding. In a new statement from the company, it was stated that it received a joint investment from Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG), the world’s second largest financial group, and Animoca Brands.
Animoca Brand KK Investment Will Also Use For NFT Adoption
Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) and Animoca Brands have each invested $22.5 million, according to a press release following Animoca Brand KK’s $45 million investment for NFT. For Animoca Brands Japan, both companies valued $500 million in the first place.
Animoca Brands Japan said the new capital will be used to invest in popular NFTs, develop the company, promote NFT adoption and build a network for NFTs. In March 2022, MUFG and Animoca Brands KK announced a collaboration to develop the NFT ecosystem in Japan. The investments that followed the cooperation were interpreted as proof that the companies are walking towards the common goals of digital assets.
