Android users drive better than iPhone users, research shows

Insurance platform Jerry surveyed 20,000 drivers and found that Android smartphone owners are more careful drivers than iPhone users.

Jerry analyzed the behavior of 20,000 drivers who had traveled more than 13 million kilometers in total. Android users scored higher and safer driving overall than iPhone users in each category, including safe driving, acceleration, distraction, cornering, braking and acceleration.

Android users more loyal to the rules

The most interesting statistic was in the distraction category, which shows that Android users are less likely to pick up their phones while driving. Also, Android users who did not graduate from High School outperformed iPhone users with doctoral, master’s, and bachelor’s degrees.

Other research shows that Android users are more conscientious, honest and less likely to break the rules. It has been stated that iPhone users show more emotionality, which leads to unpredictable behavior.
