Android application support, one of Microsoft’s most ambitious features in the promotion of Windows 11, finally meets the users. App support is available as a preview in Windows 11’s first major update.
Android applications in Windows 11
Although we use the Android definition, Google’s name is not mentioned in this feature. It emerged as a result of work between Microsoft and Amazon. As a matter of fact, Amazon Appstore is the default app store here.
The feature, which is currently open to US users, provides access to approximately 1000 Android applications on the Amazon Appstore. Audible, Kindle, Lords Mobile, Khan Academy Kids are among them. Of course, the entire catalog is not available, but it is quite successful in the beginning.
Users can experience the applications they download in the Amazon Appstore in a standalone window. Apart from this, there will be innovations such as the ability of Team users to mute conversations from the taskbar, the time and date to be displayed on the second monitor, the weather widget to show live information, the optimization of the media player, and the dark mode in the Notepad application.
