Android phones will integrate with Windows 11
By using your phone’s mobile data connection, you will be able to directly connect a Windows 11-based computer to the internet. This connection will be made through the Wi-Fi (wireless network) panel of Windows 11.
Currently, only Samsung phones with OneUI 4.1.1 or higher can use this feature. Surface Duo devices are also allegedly able to take advantage of Windows 11 Build 25179.
A time-consuming problem such as the FIDO feature not working when a laptop with the screen off is connected to an external display, has also lost its effect thanks to this version. Microsoft would love to let people use the mobile data connection available on Android phones directly from Windows 11’s Wi-Fi panel.
Before Windows 11 Build 25179, users had to activate the mobile access feature on their Android phones, open the Wi-Fi panel in Windows 11, and then connect to the phone. With this update for Phone Link, connecting will become a much faster process.
