Google released the second general beta version of Android 16. The operating system that can be installed on appropriate pixel devices brings various improvements in issues such as media and camera enhancements, accessibility and performance.

Features Coming with Android 16 Beta 2

• Hybrid Automatic Exile: Android 16 now supports hybrid automatic exposure via Camera2 API on cameras. It allows third -party applications to control some aspects of the exposure, while releasing the rest to the automatic exposure algorithm. With this feature, applications will allow users to control automatic exposure and ISO or automatic exposure, and exposure time.
• Camera Color Temperature and Tone Settings: Color temperature and fine adjustments in the intonation will ensure more effective use of professional video recording applications.

• Applications from the edge: Android 16 applications will be displayed from the edge on the screen and developers will not be able to disable this feature.
• Improved Sound-Video Framework for TVs: Applications will be able to access audio and video profiles and hardware features. After accessing the relevant information, applications will dynamically change the audio and video profiles to provide the best possible experience.
• Live wallpaper improvements: Android 16 allows a live wallpaper to offer itself better if it has different or unique content for the main screen and lock screen.
• Moving photo capture: It is now possible to create moving photos using the device’s camera.

• Double pressing the power button for the wallet: Mümükün to start a mobile payment/wallet application by pressing the Android 16 with the power button twice. For example, the action button for Pixel phones can start Google Wallet. Samsung Samsung Wallet application can be activated.
• Ultra HDR Improvements: With Android 16, Google brings improvements to Ultra HDR. It now supports Ultra HDR photo shoot in HEIC format. Previously, the JPG was limited to the file formation. Google also works on hunting file format support for ultra HDR photos. Android 16 also supports additional HDR parameters, including which color space to be added to the color space. Google has also added accessibility improvements to TalkBack, support for items with multiple labels and enhanced support for expandable user interface items. Streaming Apps in Android 16 will now be able to dynamically adjust video quality according to device capabilities.

When will Android 16 be published?

Google plans to publish the stable version of Android 16 at the end of the second quarter of 2025, which means that it will probably be released in June 2025.
