Google has released the second -to -public beta version of Android 16. The new version offers more manual control for professional photographers.
Finally, Android 16 beta 2 was published. In addition to the new version of automatic exposure settings, it offers the opportunity to develop developed landscape quality with color temperature, color tone and ultra HDR landscape basis. Here are all the details of the update!
Features Coming with Android 16 Beta 2
Android 16 adds hybrid automatic exposure modes to the camera application. These new modes allow users to manually control settings for ISO or exposure period, while other settings will continue to manage automatic exposure algorithms. In this way, photographers will be able to shoot more flexible by reducing image noise. In color settings, white stability controls are expanded. Previously, the white stability, which is finite with front settings, now offers the opportunity to make direct changes on the color temperature and the color tone.
Another valuable innovation is the Ultra HDR basis in HEIC format. HeIC offers higher quality than JPEG, while it covers less storage space. Ultra HDR HEIC documents can be displayed as SDR on old devices, while devices with HDR screens will offer additional color, brightness and contrast details.
Android 16 Beta 2, Pixel 6 and subsequent models have been accessed for Pixel tablet users. Those who want to try the update will be able to test the new version by registering with the compatible devices to the beta program.
