It’s a long-standing tradition of Android major releases being called desserts. Google goes in alphabetical order when determining dessert names. From the days of Android Cupcake in 2009 to 2018 Android Pie, Google has enjoyed announcing dessert names and adding them as part of the release name. In the Android 10 version, which corresponds to the letter Q, Google named it Queen Cake. The dessert name set for Android 14, which is still under development, is Upside Down Cake. The dessert prepared for Android 15, which corresponds to the letter V, has also been revealed: Vanilla ice cream.
Nothing is known about Android 15 Vanilla Ice Cream at the moment. The Android 14 final version is expected to be released in the summer, probably by July.
