It has been discovered that the “ingress_rate_limit_bytes_per_second” parameter has been added to Android’s network connection APIs, which allows you to set the rate limit in bytes per second. For example, if you need to limit the speed to 1 Mbps, you will need to enter 125000 here.
What good will slowing the speed do?
So what good will limiting the speed do? The new parameter added will allow developers to test their applications on a slow internet connection. Previously, developers had to simulate the weak link to third-party solutions.
Internet speed throttling is expected to be available in developer options from Android 13 Beta 1, which is scheduled to be released next month.
