Android 13 made its debut for developers in early February. The new version of Android surprised everyone by entering the testing phase about six months ago compared to previous years. This gave rise to the idea that Android 13 would be released earlier than expected.

Pixel phones started using Android 13

In the light of all these developments, Google also made a statement and announced that Android 13 came to all Pixel phones about a month earlier than normal and expected. After this announcement, all Pixel phones started to receive the new version of Android.

According to the statement, newer models, including Pixel 4 and 4a, will receive the new system update. Older devices like the Pixel 3 and 3a received their final update to Android 12 earlier this year and they stopped receiving all updates. The list of Google Pixel phones that received the Android 13 update is as follows:

  • Pixel 4
  • Pixel 4a
  • Pixel 5
  • Pixel 5a
  • Pixel 6
  • Pixel 6 Pro
  • Pixel 6a

Google’s Android 13 security bulletin stated that Android 13 will be available for phones with the September security update. But apparently Google decided to pull the trigger in August. Thus, Android 13, which was released early in its tests, was released much earlier than expected.

With the beta version, we had the opportunity to see the features of Android 13. However, it is indisputable that the stable Android 13 version is much faster and more reliable. Google had significantly changed and improved the operating system with Android 12. We can say that Android 13 completes the shortcomings of Android 12. However, many exciting features are still waiting for Android users.

Android 13, which is ready to be used for Google Pixel phones, will be available for other smartphones later in the year. So what do you think about Android 13? You can share your views with us in the comments section.
