Google has released the fourth and final beta version of Android 13. The next Android 13 will be the final version and the company will roll out the update to supported Pixel phones in a few weeks.
Last beta before final release
The fourth beta version of Android 13 is so that app developers can conduct final testing and development keeping in mind the new version. This build is actually the closest version to the final version of Android 13 for Pixel devices and Android Emulator.
Since platform stability was achieved with the previous beta, all application surfaces have since been finalized, including restrictions on SDK and NDK APIs, application-oriented system behaviors, and non-SDK interfaces. The Beta 4 / release candidate released today contains fixes for previously reported issues and should be the most stable version of the software before the final.
Android 13 features
Android 13 comes with new privacy features like notification permission and revamped photo picker, themed app icons, language support for each app, HDR video, Bluetooth LE audio and MIDI 2.0 support over USB. It also offers better tools that extend what’s built into Android 12L so that app developers can take advantage of tablets and big-screen devices.
